Funny Halloween Tombstones Names

I've said it beofre and I'll say it again: I love a good graveyard for a Halloween display. This post, in a continuing series to help you improve your Halloween haunt, can help you along with your graveyard! Today I got a bunch of tombstone names and epitaphs for you. I've scoured the net to get you the best ones, so you can save time and get right to applying these to your homemade tombstones. No graveyard is complete without a couple funny tombs to make trick-o-treaters (and their parents) chuckle... right before you scare the pants off them.

Please note that the below names and epitaphs are taken from the web and are just gathered here to give you ideas and help out other haunters. If you have any of your own, feel free to drop a comment and share it. Also, surf around a bit as many other haunter sites offer many more examples.

So here's the listing of some names:

Abbie Normal (from Young Frankenstein), B.A. Ghoul, Barry M. Deep, Barry A. Live, Barry R. Bones, Ben Dover, Berry D. Hatchet, Bill M. Lader, Candy B. Goode, Dawn Under, Diane Rott, Dr. Izzy Gone, Fester N. Rott, Hammond Eggs, I. Emma Ghost, I. Emma Spook, Jess Gough, Justin Pieces, Justin Tyme, Kerry M. Here lies the Pillsbury Dough Boy
He will rise again

GO HOME

Here lies John Yeast,
Pardon him for not rising.

Here I lie
And no wonder I'm dead,
For the wheel of a semi
Went over my head.

Here lies Lester More.
4 shots with a .44
No Les, no more ...

~ Dracula ~
"Fangs for the Memories"

Rest in Pieces

Mary Mary quite contrary
how does your garden grow?
Quite well I bet
since it's well fed
by your body down below.

Here lies the Father of 29
There would have been more
but he didn't have time

First a cough
Carried me off
Then in a coffin
They carried me off in

He got a fishbone in his throat
Which made him sing
an angel's note

Here lies the Popular,
Kevin O'Tool.
He thought it was Cool,
To Smoke at School.

Here Lies
Ron D. Vous

Now I ain't again

Here lies Bill
He always lied
And he always will
He lied once too often
And now he lies still

When your razor is dull
But you need a shave
Think of the man
Who lies in this grave

It does my heart a world of good
To see you in a box of wood

In loving memory
from your grieving widow...
You slept with them all..
Now sleep with this

Any day above ground
Is a good day

A few from the Haunted Mansion at Disney World:

REST IN PEACE COUSIN HUET
we all know you didn't do it

HERE LIES GOOD OLD FRED
a great big rock fell on his head

DEAR DEPARTED BROTHER DAVE
he chased a bear into a cave

Some rather thoughtful epitaphs:

While living men my tomb do view,
Remember well, here's room for you

Farewell my young companions all
>From death's arrest no age is free
Remember this, a warning call
Prepare to follow after me
The wise, the sober and the brave
Must try the cold and silent grave

Time was I stood where thou dost now
And view'd the dead as thou dost me
Ere long you'll be as low as I
And others stand and gaze at thee

Here lies the body of Thomas Kemp
Who lived by the sword, and died by hemp

Time, like an ever rolling stream
Bears all it's sons away
They fly forgotten as a dream
Dies at the opening day

Stop by here my friends
As you pass by;
As you are now
So once was I.
As I am now
So you must be.
Prepare for death
And follow me.

Behold and see as you pass by
As you are now so once was I
As I am now you soon will be
Prepare for death and follow me

Behold and see as you pass by
For as you are, so once was I
As I am now, so will you be
Prepare unto death and follow me

Pennyless I did die
But don't you go and cry
For if you do some thinking
You'll find I had great timing

A Halloween Blog? Why Not!

Welcome all to my Halloween blog!

My name is Mr. Grimm and I absolutely love Halloween! I have also taken a recent fondness to blogging, so it's a natural fit to enjoy the two together. Now, I realize that blogging about a one night a year holiday doesn't quite translate into a year round topic, but I wanted a place to share my passion for Halloween... even if it's only for a few months a year!

For the past couple of years now, I've been building my own props for my Halloween display and I figured that I'd post them up here. Why not? The web has a nice strong and ever growing community of Haunter's so I figured I would join the ranks and contribute.

This blog will allow me to share my relatively easy (and mostly inexpensive) Halloween haunt projects that will hopefully inspire others as I have been inspired by the many other haunters out there on the web. I tend to try and keep my props and projects easy, inexpensive and storage friendly as I am a family reaper with little Grimms floating around - meaning my resources are sometimes scarce, but that only adds to the challenge!

Here's a short list of some of my past Halloween display projects I will be sharing: a Flying Crank Ghost with a floor based mount, a Flying Crank Ghost with a ceiling mount, a spider victim, zombie crows, cemetery fences, fog machines, fog chillers, costumes, scare strategies, ambiance tips, etc. I also have some new projects I am currently working on for this year that I want to share, so stay tuned and check back often as I will be posting quite a bit.

I also hope to exchange tips, tricks and experiences on the art of haunting and all things Halloween with other enthusiastic haunters out there! So please don't be shy to drop a comment and let me know what you think of a given post.

Thanks for reading and here's wishing you all a Happy Haunting Season!
